Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received a notice to industry from Qantas Freight regarding changes as a result of construction work at the Melbourne International Terminal.

Planned construction work will be taking place at our Melbourne International Terminal from 28 April 2025 until late June 2025 which will impact truck parking facilities and other terminal operational areas.

These works will be carried out in five stages:

  • Stage 1: Truck parking bays outside terminal reduced
  • Stage 2: Truck parking bays outside terminal reduced and revised traffic management at terminal entry/exit areas
  • Stage 3: Truck parking bays at ULD facility reduced
  • Stage 4: Delivery dock capacity reduced and revised traffic management across terminal
  • Stage 5: Revised traffic management across terminal and truck parking at terminal (north end) reduced

During this period, we will remain fully operational, however additional safety measures and increased traffic management will be in place to protect staff and visitors which may lead to minor delays.
