The Container Transport Alliance Australia (CTAA) has flagged concerns to both DP World and Patrick Terminals regarding these planned closures and the heavy reliance on Intermodal Way for detours.

With delays at Swanson Precinct facilities, there is a real risk of Intermodal Way becoming a makeshift "truck park," severely restricting access for heavy vehicles.

CTAA has urged the terminals to factor in the closure impacts when coordinating time zone truck arrivals, particularly during night operations. Additionally, CTAA has highlighted to VICT the potential for congestion to disrupt high productivity freight vehicle (HPFV) movements between Swanson Dock and Webb Dock if conditions worsen.
