Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC)

DP World Australia's proposed acquisition of Silk Logistics Holdings

ACCC announce new date for decision

Good morning << Test First Name >>

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) wish to update members on the status of the ACCC's review into DP World Australia's (DPWA) proposed acquisition of Silk Logistics Holdings (Silk).

Following further engagement with the merger parties, the ACCC has now amended its timeline and announced that it expects to release its findings on 10 July 2025.

This follows the earlier delay, where the initial decision date of 5 June 2025 was pushed back as the ACCC sought additional information in line with its Informal Merger Review Process Guidelines.

FTA/APSA continue to strongly urge the ACCC to oppose the proposed acquisition and instead promote a competitive, transparent, and innovation-driven logistics sector — one where no single party can dominate the entire chain from quayside to customer.
