Sydney Operations Update - Operational Update Due to Severe Weather - Update 1

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have gathered the latest updates from various stakeholders regarding impacts as a result of the severe weather event impacting Sydney at present.

Sydney Airport:

Sydney Airport is still operational.
Vessel Movement Suspensions:
SUSPENDED

Some vessel movements in and out of Port Botany have been suspended until further notice.
Terminals:

Hutchison Ports:

- Hutchison Ports have released the following notice:
The Terminal is experiencing a Significant Weather Event that caused the cessation of Truck Services due to workplace health and safety concerns. Road operations will be suspended from 1200 to 1459 at this stage . Trucks in yard may be affected as a result. A notice will be placed out 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the next working zone.
Empty Container Park Closures:
Several empty container parks across the port precinct have already ceased operations due to safety concerns. We encourage members to liaise with relevant service providers to assess potential disruptions to their supply chains.
