Rejection of invalid shipper and consignee details in ACAS - from 27 September 2025

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received a new industry update from Qantas Freight regarding compliance requirements with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Air Cargo Advanced Screening (ACAS) program.

The notice reads as follows:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have advised that, effective from 27 September 2025, any Air Cargo Advanced Screening (ACAS) filings with missing or invalid Shipper or Consignee details will be rejected.

On 28 July 2025, CBP moved to an informed compliance period and is supplying Qantas Freight with daily email summaries of invalid entries which will be passed on to the shippers concerned for action. From 27 September 2025, non-compliant Shipper or Consignee details included in ACAS will result in the shipment being rejected and freight not being uplifted until corrected.

Visit the U.S. CBP website for more information and access to the updated ACAS Implementation Guide.
