The Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) has advised Kite Street Overpass inbound lanes are to remain closed, following damage sustained during an incident on Monday 1 September 2025.
PBPL is working closely with DTMR to determine the full extent of repairs required to repair the bridge as quickly as possible.
Whilst outbound lanes have been reopened, inbound lanes will remain closed next week, with detours in place.
We request all drivers cooperate with and adhere to all traffic management controls during this period.
We understand this may cause delays entering the Port however this is to ensure the safety of all drivers, and we thank you for your patience.
