| Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received a reminder from Qantas Freight regarding upcoming changes to certification requirements. IATA has announced changes to Load Distribution and Restraint (LDR) certification for Australian Cargo Agents, effective 12 January 2026. - Forwarders lodging shipper-built units must meet the updated LDR certification standards.
- Loose freight may continue to be accepted without certification.
As this may affect terminal lodgments, Qantas Freight strongly encourages customers to prepare early to ensure compliance and maintain smooth operations. For more information and full details on the updated LDR certification requirements, please visit the IATA website.
