Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS) Issues

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has been advised by a number of members of ongoing issues with the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS) as a result of the latest COLS system release earlier in the week. 

FTA has raised the issues with senior executives at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) for further investigation, with DAFF subsequently confirming that the matter is being treated as a priority.

DAFF has now issued Import Industry Advice Notice (IIAN) 339-2025, confirming that COLS is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption. One of the issues impacted users may encounter is an error message requesting the 'Consignment Entry Type' even when the information has already been completed.

The department has advised that affected clients should submit a General Import Enquiry through the "Make an Enquiry" pathway in COLS while the issue is being resolved.

DAFF has apologised for the inconvenience caused.
