OptiBook to launch at Patrick Terminals – Brisbane AutoStrad

November Launch & Webinars

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) would like to advise members that OptiBook, a container management solution already operating at other locations, will be rolled out at Patrick Terminals – Brisbane AutoStrad on Saturday, 8 November 2025.

Developed by OneStop in consultation with landside operators, OptiBook integrates with the Vehicle Booking System (VBS) to provide enhanced visibility of container status, improve booking efficiency, and deliver greater transparency across the landside supply chain.

What's Changing at Patrick Brisbane AutoStrad

OptiBook changes the process from vessel-based availability to container-based availability. Instead of releasing slots against a vessel timeframe, import slots will only be available once a container has been fully discharged and marked as "ready."

For members, this means a shift in practice: monitoring container availability rather than vessel availability. The intent is to reduce wasted bookings, improve slot utilisation, and provide greater clarity on when containers can actually be collected.

Benefits for Operators

OneStop has highlighted several benefits of the new system, including:

  • Better slot access and higher truck utilisation
  • Enhanced visibility for planning and scheduling
  • A more intuitive booking interface and integration opportunities
  • Real-time updates and on-the-go efficiency via the OneStop Deliver App

Patrick Terminals has scheduled the go-live for Saturday, 8 November, deliberately choosing a weekend start to minimise disruption in the busy pre-Christmas period when weekday operations are at peak demand.

Industry Training & Familiarisation

To prepare transport operators, OneStop will deliver two online training webinars, covering the OptiBook booking process, Deliver App, and practical guidance for operators:

  • Thursday, 30 October 2025 – 1:00 PM (AEST)
  • Wednesday, 5 November 2025 – 1:00 PM (AEST)
