Qantas Freight - Temporary Access Restriction at the Melbourne Terminal Export Dock - Effective 18-19 October 2025

Thursday, October 16, 2025

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received a notice to industry from Qantas Freight regarding access restrictions at the Melbourne International Terminal:

Access to the Northern Exit Gate at Melbourne Airport's freight facility will be restricted from 3pm on Saturday, 18 October to 5pm Sunday, 19 October due to road works on the Service Road.
During this time, only rigid trucks up to 12.5m will be permitted to lodge export loose cargo at the northern dock. Larger vehicles will not be accepted and cannot exit via the northern gate.
Loose cargo arriving after 3pm must be presented in compliant vehicles. Larger vehicles will not be unloaded.
Shipper-loaded ULD lodgements and import deliveries remain unaffected.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
