VALE - Ray Katte   Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) were deeply saddened to receive the news from David Katte that his father, Ray Katte, passed away last night. Ray was an icon and stalwart of the customs brokerage and freight forwarding sector, contributing through industry association representation and as owner of Cridland Katte, an Australian family-owned business that later evolved into BCR Freight. In more recent years, BCR was acquired by Seaway, where David Katte continues to work today.    Ray was a true gentleman of the highest integrity, passionate about the wellbeing of his industry, his staff, his customers, and, above all, his family. Arrangements are being made for a service on Friday, 7 November 2025, in Maitland. Our thoughts are with his wife Mavis, David and the entire family during this difficult time.
