The ASA/GSA Joint Annual Meeting brought together senior representatives from shipper councils and trade associations across Asia, Europe, and the United States – including the American Association of Exporters & Importers (AAEI), European Shippers' Council (ESC), Hong Kong Shippers' Council (HKSC), Indonesian National Shippers' Council (INSC), Korean Shippers' Council (KSC), Malaysian National Shippers' Council (MNSC), Sri Lanka Shippers' Council (SLSC), Shippers' Council of Bangladesh (SCB), and the Thai National Shippers' Council (TNSC).

The joint ASA/GSA forum addressed key challenges and opportunities impacting the global shipping environment, including freight rate volatility, port congestion, trade disruption, sustainability transitions, and the need for fairer commercial and regulatory practices in containerised supply chains.

An overview of meeting and roundtable discussion points, along with the ASA / GSA Joint Statement and APSA Country Report, is available HERE (FTA/APSA MEMBER LOGIN REQUIRED).

Through APSA's appointment as Vice Chair of the ASA, Australian shippers will continue to play a leading role in shaping policy advocacy and reform across the Asia–Pacific, also representing the collective interests of exporters, importers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.
