Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has received advice from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) that public consultation is now open for the General Reviews of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA) and the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA).
These review processes are a standard feature of Australia's free trade agreements, ensuring they remain fit for purpose and continue to meet the evolving needs of Australian businesses.
DFAT is seeking stakeholder input on the operation, implementation, and impact of both agreements since their commencement, as well as feedback on potential opportunities to deepen liberalisation and expand market access.
