Fremantle Ports - SailGP 2026 – South Mole Closure Update

Fremantle will host the international SailGP event in January 2026. To facilitate the required event infrastructure and operations, South Mole will be closed to the public from 1 December 2025 to 30 January 2026, including construction, race operations, and pack-down.

Fremantle Ports is working closely with the City of Fremantle, SailGP organisers and Tourism WA as event plans are finalised.

 Key Dates

•  Mon 1 Dec 2025 – South Mole closure and commencement of infrastructure build
• Fri 16 Jan 2026 – Official practice racing
• Sat 17 Jan 2026 – Race Day 1
• Sun 18 Jan 2026 – Race Day 2
• Fri 30 Jan 2026 – South Mole reopens to the public
