- All live animal export stakeholders
Purpose To advise the department's arrangements for the live animal exports general enquiries phone line and mailboxes over the Christmas period (25 December 2025 – 1 January 2026 inclusive). Key points - Our Canberra offices and some regional offices will be closed for the holiday period from COB Wednesday, 24 December 2025, reopening on Friday morning, 2 January 2026.
- The Live Animal Exports general enquiries phone line will not operate during this period.
- Exporters with urgent enquiries relating to a consignment departing during this period should contact the Regional Veterinary Officers in the first instance:
- (on call vet) 1800 070 425.
- All other enquiries including requests for a call back should be emailed to livestockexp@aff.gov.au.
- This mailbox will be monitored on 29, 30 and 31 December, which is outside of weekends and public holidays.
