ABF - ACN 2025/36 and ACN 2025/37

The Australian Border Force (ABF) has published two new Australian Customs Notices (ACNs):

ACN 2025/36 - Reduction of preferential rates of customs duty from 1 January 2026

On 1 January 2026, preferential rates of customs duty under the following free trade agreements will be reduced.

Further Information

As the duty rates commencing on 1 January 2026 for Schedules 8B, 10A, 14, 15 and 16 are reflected in the Online Tariff and Tariff Working Pages, the pages will not be updated to reflect the new rates. Please direct any queries related to this notice to tradepolicy1@abf.gov.au.

ACN 2025/37 - Item 58A – Goods to be used under the Geelong Treaty 

From 19 December 2025, goods imported for use under the Australia–UK Geelong Treaty (Nuclear-Powered Submarine Partnership) will be duty-free. Importers should use treatment code 858 on their declarations.  See the full notice here
