ICS Update: System Access Available, Messaging Delays Ongoing Further advice from ABF and DAFF on system recovery

Tuesday, February 3, 2026

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has received further advice from the Australian Border Force (ABF) in relation to the Integrated Cargo System (ICS) outage and recovery.

ABF has confirmed that a fix has been implemented to allow EDI messages to be processed. While delays are expected due to message traffic volumes, messages are queueing and will continue to be processed.

Cargo Interactive (UI) is operational again and users can log in directly if required. Members experiencing access issues are encouraged to refresh their web browser and, if necessary, log out and back in via ICS or their third-party software provider.

FTA has also confirmed with Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) executives that COLS and CWMS are functioning as normal.

Any error messages currently being received are not the result of a DAFF system outage, but relate to an ongoing messaging issue between ICS and AIMS. This issue has been escalated as an urgent priority and is actively being addressed.

Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
