Who does this notice affect?
Biosecurity industry participants and accredited persons operating under approved arrangement Class 19 who want to access and log in to the industry reporting with an email address/password (and with multi-factor authentication) via the Biosecurity Portal.
What has changed?
Biosecurity Industry Reporting is now live and available via the Biosecurity Portal for all accredited persons operating under approved arrangement Class 19.2, who choose to access the Biosecurity Portal using an email address/password – the 'other user' method. This release extends the industry reporting to all users logging in with an email address/password (and with multi-factor authentication).
Approved Arrangement managers now have the ability to add email users to view industry reporting via the 'Contacts in AAMP'. Accredited persons wanting access will be added as an 'accredited person' and 'site contact' to enable viewing of the industry reporting and with multi-factor authentication.
This allows the biosecurity industry participant to securely authorise and share their brokerages data with their accredited persons.
This enhancement delivers on commitments to improve consignment visibility for industry and was developed as part of the Simplified Targeting and Enhanced Processing Systems (STEPS) Program.
STEPS is an investment in the department's imported cargo ICT systems and business processes aimed at enhancing Australia's biosecurity risk management by creating a faster, simpler and more integrated cargo clearance system.
