Who does this notice affect?
All clients who will be required to make an online payment during this planned outage.
All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this planned outage.
All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs who will be required to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS) during this planned outage.
All shipping agents or operators of maritime conveyances who will be required to report pre-arrival information during this planned outage.
All clients using the Department's Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON) during this planned outage.
Information
Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, the following systems will experience an outage between 23:00 Thursday 05 March to 02:00 Friday 06 March 2026 (AEDT):
- Online Payment Service (OPS)
- Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS)
- Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS)
- Maritime and Aircraft Reporting System (MARS)
The following system will be available during the outage period. However, it may be impacted noting no initial impacts are anticipated:
- Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON)

Clients are advised to await the completion of this maintenance period before attempting to access these services.
