Who does this notice affect?
All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this planned maintenance period.
All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs who will be required to upload documents via the Post Entry Biosecurity System during this planned maintenance period.
All clients required to upload documents via the department's Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON) during this planned maintenance period.
Information
Due to an outage relating to scheduled system maintenance, the below systems documentation upload functions will be impacted:
- Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS)
- Cargo Online Lodgement System Business-To-Government (COLSB2G)
- Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS)
- Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON)
For up to 30-minutes between 23:00 Tuesday 10 March to 00:00:17 Wednesday 11 March 2026 (AEDT), clients attempting to upload documents via the above listed systems will encounter an error, and will be unable to upload documents for the duration of the outage period.
Action
Clients are advised to await completion of this maintenance period before attempting to upload documentation via the above listed systems.
