Published 21 April 2026

From the first international billing cycle in May 2026, Qantas Freight will discontinue the PreCASS process for Australia-based agents. As billing accuracy has improved significantly over recent years, PreCASS is no longer required and its removal aligns with standard international billing practice.PreCASS files will continue to be issued through to the end of April 2026.

There is no change to how customers can query international invoices once billing has been issued through Qantas, and existing processes for billing reviews and amendments will continue to apply. This change does not affect domestic billing or customers who do not currently receive PreCASS.

In recognition of this change, the Customer Credit Advice (CCA) fee will be reduced from $100 to $50 per AWB, applying where a credit is requested due to customer-initiated changes or errors.
