Who does this notice affect?

All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this planned maintenance period (e.g. clients required to use the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS).

Details:

The Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS) is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption. As a result, users may be unable to submit lodgements in COLS, and may receive associated error messages. Additionally, some brokers with account client entries may be charged assessment fees incorrectly.

Action

Brokers that are receiving error messages in COLS are advised to submit a 'General import enquiry' through COLS, and attach associated import documentation for assessment.

An urgent fix for this issue is currently being investigated, and the department will advise once services have been restored.
