ANL / CMA CGM - Notice to Oceania Customers: No Change to Voyage Numbering

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) has received formal clarification from ANL and CMA CGM that the recently announced global change to voyage number formatting will not apply to Australia or the wider Oceania region.

This follows earlier feedback received from FTA/APSA members raising concerns that the proposed global format, which allows voyage numbers of up to nine characters, could create practical issues in the Australian operating environment. In particular, members highlighted potential impacts on cargo reporting, export permits and other documentation linked to voyage references.

ANL and CMA CGM have now formally clarified that existing local voyage number arrangements will remain in place for Oceania customers:
