Who does this notice affect?
All airlines and aircraft operators arriving in Australian territory, their representatives and ground handling agents.
What has changed?
On the 28 May 2026, the department published an updated version of the Biosecurity obligations for aircraft arriving in Australian territory (Biosecurity Obligations).
The Biosecurity Obligations document now includes guidance that supports aircraft operators understanding of:
- aircraft movements between parts of Australian territory
- Australian external territory not considered Australian territory (AETNCAT)
Action Required
Users are strongly encouraged to download the latest edition (May 2026) of the Biosecurity Obligations document to ensure they are referring to the correct version.
