Purpose
This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to inform stakeholders about the planned Manual of Importing Country Requirements (Micor) re-platforming and the introduction of two-factor authentication for livestock animal pages in July 2026.
Summary of changes and key points
- Micor will transition to a new platform on 16 July 2026.
- There will be no changes to the content of live animal pages.
- The new platform is expected to have minimal impact on users, with most experiencing only minor interface changes.
- Two-factor authentication (TFA) will be introduced to access password protected livestock animal pages.
Background
The department is transitioning Micor to a new platform on 16 July 2026. This work is finded by the Australian Government to maintain continued access to importing country requirements for Australian agricultural exports.
As the project progresses, the department will provide regular updates through email, the Micor portal, the department's website, and other appropriate communication channels.
User guides and training materials, including guidance on setting up TFA, will be made available ahead of the transition. Online demonstrations and walkthrough sessions will be held in June and July 2026.
Please register for an information session to learn more about the new platform (note, if you access livestock animal pages you only need to register for a TFA session as it will cover both general and TFA set up information).
