Who does this notice affect?

All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment (e.g. clients required to use the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS).

Resolved: 108-2026: Unplanned Service Disruption: Tuesday 02 June 2026

Restored time: As of: 00:02 Tuesday 08 July 2026 (AEST).

The unplanned service disruption to COLS has been resolved. 

Users can now submit lodgements in COLS as normal. Importers are no longer required to use Branch ID:_IMP_C and can use their Importer ID as normal. 

Action

COLS users are advised to submit lodgements as normal. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
