Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) has received advice from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) , via Import Industry Advice Notice 138-2026 , regarding upcoming Brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) season .The 2026-27 BMSB seasonal BMSB measures information has been updated, and the department's website reflects the current arrangements for the 2026-27 season.There are no significant changes to the BMSB season dates, target high risk goods, or target risk countries for the 2026-27 season.Whats New
What has changed ?The department is delivering one industry information session on the BMSB seasonal measures to apply to certain goods shipped to Australia as sea cargo between 1 September 2026 and 30 April 2027 inclusive.This session will cover goods being imported, shipped or treated during the BMSB risk season.BMSB information session
