ACFS Port Logistics - Update from Terry Tzaneros - Update 9
Tuesday, August 18, 2026
Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received the following notice from ACFS executive.
Tuesday 18th August 2026
Dear Customers and Partners,
I've taken over from Arthur as Managing Director of ACFS Port Logistics for at least the duration of the administration process. I support Arthur's decision and reasons for stepping aside, and agree that our focus today has to be on the smooth running of operations.
Everyone in this industry knows that when you're dealing with all the moving parts of a logistics operation, customer confidence is critical. That was true more than 40 years ago when I started in logistics and it's true today.
As we said in our Monday operations update, our teams across the country are doing an exemplary job and we're set up well for the week.
Our immediate priority hasn't changed: keep our trucks moving, keep our customers containers moving and maintain the service levels our customers expect from ACFS.
Thank you all for your confidence and continued support. Please continue to reach out to your local ACFS representatives should you have any questions about the week ahead and ongoing delivery of services.
Kind regards,
Terry Tzaneros
Managing Director, ACFS Port Logistics
Clarification
The administration process's first meeting of creditors was held this afternoon. Contrary to what was reported in the Australian Financial Review overnight, this group did not include Commonwealth Bank.
The Receivers and Managers of ACFS today confirmed directly with the AFR that reporting on the use of personal Tzaneros family homes to secure business loans for ACFS is incorrect. No personal Tzaneros property is listed as security against ACFS loans, and CommBank is not a creditor of this business.
