Qantas Freight - Industrial action in Australia

We are aware of planned protected industrial action involving some Qantas Ground Services (QGS) and Australian Air Express (AAE) employees. The notified industrial action is scheduled to occur during the following periods:

• Brisbane: 4:00am AEST Thursday 24 September to 3:59am AEST Friday 25 September
• Sydney: 7:30am AEST Thursday 24 September to 7:29am AEST Friday 25 September
• Adelaide: 5:00am ACST Thursday 24 September to 4:59am ACST Friday 25 September
• Perth: 7:30am AWST Thursday 24 September to 7:29am AWST Friday 25 September

No industrial action is currently scheduled in Melbourne. We are monitoring developments and will communicate any changes.

We have contingency plans in place to help minimise disruption and maintain service continuity for our customers. Temporary measures have been implemented to support network stability, and our focus remains on prioritising the movement of critical freight and supporting customers with time-sensitive requirements.

Existing bookings will continue to be managed under our contingency plans, and customers with urgent freight needs should contact their Qantas Freight representative to discuss available options. Terminals will remain operational, however customers should allow additional time for freight processing.
