Who does this notice affect?

This notice applies to stakeholders in the import and shipping industries, including shipping agents responsible for submitting inspection exemption requests for Country Action List (CAL) cargo transhipping through Australian ports.

What has changed?

The requirements for requesting Country Action List (CAL) cargo to be transhipped without inspection have been updated. A Cargo Exemption List template is now available on the department's Request to have CAL cargo transhipped without inspection webpage and must accompany the "Request to have CAL cargo transhipped without inspection" PDF form.
