Who does this notice affect?

All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment.

All shipping agents or operators of maritime conveyances who will be required to report pre-arrival information.

All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs who will be required to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS).

All clients who will be required to make an online payment.

Detail:

The following systems are currently experiencing an unplanned outage, as a result users are unable to access the below systems:

  • Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS)
  • Maritime and Aircraft Reporting System (MARS)
  • Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS)
  • Online Payment Service (OPS)
  • Approved Arrangements (AA)

Action

Users are advised to avoid using the above-listed systems until services have been restored.

This issue is being investigated as a high priority, and the department will advise once services have been restored.

The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
