Established Australian Freight Forwarding Businesses
An overseas-backed international group is seeking to acquire an established Australian freight-forwarding business as part of its expansion into the Australian market.
Target Business Profile: Established businesses with the following characteristics:
- EBITDA: Preferably below A$1.5 million.
- Location: Melbourne or Sydney - Melbourne or Sydney, with preference given to businesses with Melbourne as their head office.
- Core Activities: International freight forwarding, particularly air and sea freight.
- Core Trade Lanes: Established China and Southeast Asia–Australia trade lanes into Australia.
Acquisition Considerations: The group is particularly interested in businesses with:- An established customer base and recurring business.
- Experienced employees and an existing operational structure.
- An existing second-tier management team,
- Opportunities for further growth through international networks and expanded trade lanes.
Transaction Structure: A full acquisition is preferred. Existing owners to remain involved during a transition period to support business continuity and future development.
