Continued Biosecurity Competency (CBC)
The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment in consultation with industry has developed and implemented Approved Arrangements to allow for assessment of documentation associated with the importation of cargo.
Continued Biosecurity Competency (CBC) is the mandatory annual training requirement for customs brokers and self-reporting importers to maintain accreditation to the 19.1. Non-commodity for Containerised Cargo Clearance (NCCC) and 19.2. Automated Entry Processing for Commodities (AEPCOMM) Approved Arrangements - period each year being from 1 April to 31 March.
Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) is accredited by the department to deliver CBC training meaning that we can provide high quality, practical, cost effective and flexible solutions.
Further detail and how to meet your compliance in the current period is available HERE.
FTA members have access to a "bundled" membership covering our complete range of premium services and uncapped online CPD / CBC access for all of your staff - to find out more about this option, please contact Paul Zalai at 02 99751878.
"DHL Global Forwarding uses ComplianceNetFTA for 100+ staff to meet our NCCC and AEPCOMM Continued Biosecurity Competency compliance requirements. Complimenting this, I have also found the accredited content incorporated into FTA's face-to-face events as being an effective way to achieve border and quarantine requirements by simply attending two events per year."
