MARITIME

Flinders Port Holdings

Flinders Port Holdings, is South Australia’s leading private port operator. Established in 2001 following the privatisation of seven South Australian ports, Flinders Ports owns and operates: Port Adelaide, Port Lincoln, Port Pirie, Thevenard, Port Giles, Wallaroo and Klein Point. At all seven ports, Flinders Port Holdings offers clients pilotage, marine control, mooring and launch services, shipping infrastructure management, ship surveys and coordination of ship services. In addition to port operations, Flinders Port Holdings also own and operate, Flinders Logistics, Flinders Warehousing & Distribution and Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal – the State’s only container operator. We also provide Hydrographic survey services through HydroSurvey Australia. Flinders Port Holdings is a significant economic player and employer in South Australia, with a total workforce of over 680 employees. Fremantle Ports

Fremantle Ports is the strategic manager of the Port of Fremantle and a Government Trading Enterprise owned by the Government of Western Australia. It operates across three precincts: North Quay in Fremantle where container, break-bulk and motor vehicle imports are the major trades, but also the Kwinana Harbour, where there are five separate facilities handling dry and liquid bulk. The Kwinana Bulk Terminal and Kwinana Bulk Jetty are both directly operated by Fremantle Ports, while the others are Bp, Alcoa and Cooperative Bulk Handling’s facilities. Fremantle Ports’ third precinct is Victoria Quay in Fremantle, which continues to facilitate break-bulk and motor vehicles, as well as the emerging waterfront precinct at the quay’s west end. The Port of Fremantle is Western Australia’s only dedicated container port


NSW Ports

NSW Ports manages various key trade gateways in New South Wales connecting global and domestic markets. Our assets include Port Botany, the state’s largest container port and primary bulk liquid and gas port, Port Kembla, home to Australia’s largest vehicle import facility and a key gateway supporting mining, agricultural, manufacturing and construction industries, the Cooks River Intermodal Terminal and the Enfield Intermodal Logistics Centre, part of an expanding network of intermodal terminals in Sydney designed to grow the volume of containers transported by rail.


Port of Melbourne

The Port of Melbourne is Australia’s largest maritime hub for containerised, automotive and general cargo trade. With over 30 commercial berths servicing 3,000 international vessels a year, the Port of Melbourne links with almost 300 ports globally. Melbourne is also an important gateway port, linking Tasmania to global markets and servicing regional exporters in New South Wales and South Australia. Melbourne’s container throughput was 2.64 million TEU in 2016-17, around 36% of Australia’s total container trade.


Port of Newcastle

The Port of Newcastle provides an efficient and cost-effective solution for NSW importers and exporters, offering: - Berth-side storage, saving customers time and money by removing cargo handling steps - Excellent berth and channel availability - Direct connections to the national rail network - Safe heavy vehicle drive distances to outer Sydney, Brisbane and major NSW rural centres We specialise in handling large, bulky cargoes such as wind turbines, tunnel boring machines, heavy equipment and rolling stock. Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT)

Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT) operates Australia’s first fully automated container terminal at Webb Dock East in the Port of Melbourne. VICT can service larger vessels of 9000+ TEU and delivers an annual extra capacity of 1.25 million TEU with room for a large expansion of this as trading volumes grow. In addition, VICT has a significant number of custom-built racks for refrigerated produce (reefers) serviced 24/7 by dedicated, onsite engineers. VICT also offers on-wharf Rural Tailgate inspection. VICT continues to set the global benchmark in port automation.
