3. Air Canada Cargo update - New departure time and main deck cabin capacity available

We are pleased to announce that our Boeing 777-300 aircraft now offers main deck cabin capacity between Sydney, Auckland and North America and Beyond. Our “77C” has been converted, seats have been removed. The main deck cabin load is best suited to large quantity of small cartons/parcels not exceeding 20kg. 4. IFAM Flight Schedule and prices updated on LAX flights

Please see click on the Austrade logo (left) for the complete list of inbound flights operating under the IFAM with schedule details. We also wanted to remind you of our latest addition, flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Melbourne (MEL) and Brisbane (BNE) with Virgin Australia, with onward overnight road freight connections to Sydney. There is capacity inbound (to Australia) on these flight in which medical and health supplies will be prioritised. I encourage you to please share this information with your members as soon as possible. Pricing Updated - Virgin is applying the following rates for the freight. These rates may be subject to change and will be reviewed weekly. Route NOW AUD / kg LAX – MEL $6.10 AUD per kg (4.15 USD per kg) LAX - BNE $7.20 AUD per kg (4.90 USD per kg) Please note: The above rates are for the air freight component only, they do not include freight forwarder fees or rates. Your members can work with any freight forwarders in order to access freight space. Please see the Austrade webpage for the latest IFAM information. 5. LAX - SYD: AMI CHARTERED CARGO FLIGHT

AMI is delighted to introduce a weekly chartered cargo flight from LAX to SYD with a road feeder service to MEL/BNE/PER & ADL. Starting Saturday April on a Boeing 787-9 series, giving AMI customers EXCLUSIVE access to guaranteed weekly capacity on this important trade route. 6. New IFAM flights: Los Angeles – Melbourne / Brisbane

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has received advice that the establishment of new International Freight Assistance Mechanism (IFAM) flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Melbourne (MEL) and Brisbane (BNE) with Virgin Australia - for further detail please click the Austrade logo.


7. NARITA (JAPAN) to SYD

ANSTO will be securing some regular charter flights ex Narita (JAPAN) to SYD, they will have some additional capacity with each charter and would like to hear from any forwarders that might be requiring space. 8. New IFAM flight, additional capacity: Toowoomba (Wellcamp) to Hong Kong

We are pleased to announce new flight capacity under the International Freight Assistance Mechanism (IFAM) from Toowoomba (Wellcamp) to Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific. These flights will operate for 6 weeks under the following schedule: • Toowoomba – Hong Kong: o Sundays commencing 7 June What do I need to do? To access these flights please contact your own freight forwarder or one of the IFAM freight forwarders. Pricing The IFAM is not intended to fully offset the increase in freight costs to pre-COVID- 19 levels. The Australian Government is meeting a portion of the airfreight costs, however, you will need to make a financial contribution towards the cost of your freight. This cost is likely to be more than pre-COVID airfreight rates. The Airline rate(s) take into account the Australian Government contribution to these flights. 9. AUSTRADE - ADDITIONAL AIR FREIGHT CAPACITY AVAILABLE FOR AUSTRALIAN EXPORTERS

To support Australian exporters, Qantas and Virgin Australia are offering air freight capacity on repatriation international passenger services to Auckland, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and London, from Thursday 9 April 2020. While these services are limited, this will give Australian producers a way to obtain valuable inputs for their businesses. The return flights to Australia will bring in vital medicines, medical supplies and equipment to support Australia's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 9. New IFAM flights to Los Angeles, Tokyo and Singapore

We are pleased to announce new International Freight Assistance Mechanism (IFAM) flights to Los Angeles, Tokyo and Singapore, and we’ve extended several key routes with Qantas. There is capacity on the outbound flights for high-value agricultural and fisheries products and on the inbound flights for medical supplies and medicines. 9. QANTAS FREIGHT - AKL, LAX and HKG

Qantas have a schedule of Government funded repatriation flights subsidising freight movements available to all of industry – AKL, LAX and HKG (feedback from Government has noted a particularly low uptake in cargo destined for Auckland which in turn may jeopardise continuation of this destination) – please click on Qantas Freight logo to access the repat flight schedule
